My name is Rose and I am a 3 year old redbone hound mix. I came to be at Lost Fantasy because I was in a shelter called Monroe County Humane Society in TN which closed down due to lack of funding. The shelter there said I was with them for almost a year before I came here. I was sent to this rescue with false spay paperwork and was already bred when I left the HS care as I had a litter of 10 puppies shortly after arriving here. I was very emaciated when I came in and very scared of people. Any sharp word or quick movement sent me flying to the back of my kennel. I wouldn't walk on a leash and would fall to the ground the moment you put one on me (the other shelter tried to teach me to walk on one by pulling me across the ground). I was afraid of my own shadow pretty much. I have been with Lost Fantasy for almost 10 months now and I am much more outgoing. I love to be petted and I love to play. I still don't walk well on a leash but I am trying. I love the other dogs and cats that live here and I enjoy being with the children. I think that I would make a great couch dog for someone. The only thing I will hunt is my foodbowl and people in this area want a "huntin dog" and I am not it so nobody has shown any interest in adopting me. I really want a home with someone to love me because I'm me. I'm very pretty and I have a wonderful personality but I don't have a home and that makes me very sad.
