My name is Chocolate & I was shot by my neighbors because they thought I was where I shouldn't have been. Then my family didn't bother to get me seen by a vet to see if I could be helped. I was found by the rescue lady when she came to pick up some puppies my family was trying to find homes for & she loaded me up & took me to her vet. They did all kinds of stuff to me & found the bullet that sits next to my spine. They were able to tell the rescue lady that a speciality vet could remove it! I was sent to Carolina Vet in Winston-Salem NC where they were able to remove the bullet! It did nick my spine & I had a lot of scar tissue there. I do still have a funny walk as my left back leg is always going to be weaker than my right but I can run & I enjoy playing with the other dogs in my foster home. I can go up/down stairs on my own.

I currently live with other dogs & cats and I do fine. I am neutered, UTD on all my shots, HW- & on prevention, UTD on worming/flea prevention & microchipped as well. I am almost housetrained & walk well on a leash.
